Try These Trending Chin Exercises!

We all want the perfect body. Articles are all around showing us images of buff bodybuilders and skinny supermodels then act as though such people are the norm and how we are all mean to be but let’s get back to reality! All you really want is to tone up and maybe lose a little fat here and there. The thought of having fat around your neck and chin is unpleasant but the good news is that there are double chin exercises that can help! Oh yes!

Before I get stuck in with the exercises, you need to know that there are two main types of double chin exercises: those that target the chin and surrounding areas to reduce overall fat. The first type work to toughen and tone the core muscles and the second type aid to get rid of the fat. The reason overall fat loss is vital to getting rid of a double chin is that you can’t just burn fat in one specific area; instead, your body chooses where you will lose fat first, (crazy I know) and that may or may not be in your chin… you can guarantee it will be somewhere where you don’t want to lose the fat!

It’s so important to ensure you exercise your neck because it helps to support the chin. A simple and effective exercise for strengthening the neck is shoulder shrugs. All you have to do is simply stand up with your feet spread at a comfortable space. You need a dumbbell in each hand (don’t make it too heavy if it’s been a while since you’ve exercised) and hold your arms down by your sides. If you haven’t got any dumbbells, use bottles of water or cans of soup! Slowly shrug your shoulders as high as you can and hold that position for a few seconds then slowly lower your arms back to your starting posture. Do three sets of ten repetitions on each side. This is the easiest double chin exercise!

Another exercise that is good is a chin stretch, which some people find to be relaxing is slowly tilt your head backwards as far as it safely goes (don’t overdo it!). Once you’ve done this, slowly open and close your mouth. You will feel a stretch in your neck and chin each time your mouth closes. Three sets of twenty reps should give you the outcome you’re looking for.

The second double chin exercises are those that help you to lose fat all over your body. Aerobic exercises burn lots of calories and give you faster results. These are the types of exercises that allow you to breathe heavier, make you sweat and get your heart pumping. There’s resistance training which forms muscle. The great thing about muscle is that it burns calories even while you’re resting. Aerobic and resistance exercises each have their benefits.

As you can see, double chin exercises come in a few forms. The more varied exercising you do, the faster you will see the results you want. Of course there are so many more exercises than the ones I’ve mentioned here, so don’t limit yourself to these few!
